This recipe’s dry ingredients fit perfect in these Snack Bags which make them great to give away as gifts or to have a meal already put together making preparation a snap. Note: once bags are filled with ingredients the bag will stand up on their own! How cool is that?! Plus, the bag is reusable!
Prepare bags by opening the zip lock part first and then open the bottom flap before adding ingredients. If you’re having difficulty opening the bottom flap try inserting a wooden spoon into the bag and gently push the bottom outward.
The opening is a bit small so I use a kitchen funnel or you could use a paper bowl and bend it to put ingredients into the bag. Place ingredients into Snack Bag one ingredient at a time according to list above. So the first ingredient to go into the bag would be the dried vegetable seasoning and so on. Make sure each ingredient is level by gently shaking the bag before adding the next ingredient. When you get to the pasta it’s best to put the pasta into a small sandwich baggie and then carefully place inside the snack bag and gently press down then close the zip lock top.
In a large pot brown beef. Once beef is completely browned remove from heat then drain grease. I used a courser beef that is called chili ground beef.
Return meat to pot and add beef broth and Soup-In-A-Jar ingredients except for the pasta. Set the uncooked pasta aside. Bring ingredients to a hard boil and then turn heat to low and simmer for about one hour and a half or until rice is al-dente. Then add pasta and turn heat to medium and continue cooking for about 15 minutes more or until pasta is fully cooked.
