Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe but firm avocado (skin and seed removed)
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream or coconut cream
  • 1/4 cup whole milk or coconut milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 Tablespoons organic cacao powder
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • dairy or non-dairy whipped cream optional
  • 100% natural chocolate sprinkles optional
  • mint for garnish (spearmint or chocolate mint) optional

Instructions

  1. Tip: If you’re wanting to use coconut cream/milk buy a can of coconut cream. Place the can unopened in the refrigerator for 8 hours. Then remove the lid and pour the coconut milk in a separate bowl and the white formed product is the coconut cream. There you have it, two products in one.

  2. In a blender or Vita Mix add avocado, heavy whipping cream, milk, sugar, pure vanilla extract and blend until mixture is smooth.

Turn blender off and add organic cacao powder and ice cubes. Again, blend until mixture is creamy and smooth.

  3. Pour mixture into your favorite parfait glass and eat it with a spoon or put in a not-so-fancy but practical flute jar or Ball Contoured Jar with sipping straw.

  4. Top with dairy or non-dairy whipped cream, 100% Natural Chocolate Sprinkles  and a mint leaf (all are optional).
