Make homemade caramelized oven roasted garlic. It's a super easy recipe that includes only two ingredients: garlic bulbs and olive oil.
Soak terra cotta baker lid in water for about 15 minutes. No need to preheat the oven for this recipe.
Remove some of the outside papery skin of the garlic. Not all of if just some of it. Remove about 1/4″ top of the garlic bulbs and discard. If you think that’s a waste then it too can be added to the baker. Place cut bulbs on terra cotta baker base.
Drizzle olive oil over entire bulbs and cover with baker lid.
Place terra cotta baker in cold oven. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour or until desired caramelization.
Carefully remove baker from oven. Remove lid and allow garlic to cool before handling.
How To Easily Remove Cooked Garlic From The Bulb
Removing cooked garlic from the bulb can be tricky. The best way to do this is to wait a few minutes until the bulb has slightly cooled enough to touch and gently squeeze from the bottom pushing the roasted garlic up and out of the papery skin.
Place the caramelized garlic in a small bowl with a little dab of olive oil.
Serve oven roasted garlic on crostini’s or toasted bread and enjoy!
