Ingredients

  • 10 ounce fresh spinach
  • 1/4 cup water
  • garlic seasoning

Instructions

  1. Rinse spinach prior to use. For any type of spinach, store bought or fresh, I will always rinse in cold water prior to cooking. You don’t have to do this step but that is my practice.

  2. Place water in a large fry pan that has a lid. Place the entire 10 ounce of spinach in the pan.

It may appear the spinach won’t fit and it won’t but place all of it in there. It should look like a mountain of spinach.

  3. Place the lid on the pan making sure all the spinach is tucked under the lid. Cook spinach over medium high heat for approximately 3 minutes or until spinach is well wilted.

  4. Remove lid and sprinkle with a little bit of garlic salt and cook for 1 more minute.

  5. Cut the spinach like you would a pie. I use a stainless steel spatula similar to this one to cut the spinach while it’s in the pan. If you use a knife to cut it do not cut in a sawing motion. Just push the knife down onto the cooked spinach to make the cuts. Serve immediately and enjoy!
