Ingredients

  • 1 (12 ounce bag) Fresh Cranberries
  • 4 Whole Cloves
  • 2 (3-inch) Cinnamon Sticks
  • 4 Allspice Berries
  • 1 1/2 Cups Granulated Sugar
  • 3/4 Cups Water
  • Grated Zest from 1 orange

Instructions

  1. Add Cranberries to a colander and rinse. Remove any berries that do not look fresh. 

  2. Place cloves, cinnamon sticks and allspice berries in a spice bag.

  3. In a medium sauce pan add water, sugar, and spice bag and stir until syrup is clear. Bring to a boil. 

  4. Add cranberries and cook. Berries will begin popping. Cook for about 5 minutes.

  5. Remove pan from heat. Discard spice bag. Use microplane to grate orange zest. Add to mixture and cool.

  6. Refrigerate 1 to 3 days before serving.
