Creamed chipped beef gravy is usually served over a bed of toast but can be served with biscuits, over a bed of mashed or country fried potatoes.
Remove beef from packaging, dice and set aside.
To make the thickener put 1 cup whole milk in a large glass. Add 5 Tablespoons of flour and use a whisk to combine by rolling the handle between your hands until the mixture is smooth and without lumps. Set aside.
In a saucier pan add milk, butter, white pepper, soup base and stir over medium heat to a low boil. Be careful not too hot or you will scald the milk.
Stirring milk mixture constantly add 1/2 cup of thickener. Continue stirring bringing to a low boil. During this time the mixture will start getting thicker. If the mixture is still too thin slowly add a little bit more of the thickener. Continue stirring and bring to boil.
Note: If gravy is still to thin add more thickener. If gravy is too thick add a little milk.
Add beef to gravy mixture and stir for about 2 minutes to combine.
Serve creamed chipped beef gravy over toast or desired ingredient and enjoy!
