This recipe uses a 9-ounce bag of Premium Soup & Oyster Crackers,  one 1 ounce packet of Ranch salad dressing mix, lemon pepper, dried dill weed, garlic powder, onion powder and vegetable oil.

A Little Secret

I remember back in the day, way back in the day, when my grandmother made these little pop-in-your mouth snacks. They were delicious then and they are still delicious to this day.

Recently I was going through my recipe box. Yes, I have a recipe box full of handwritten recipes. Many of them came from my grandmother. She was a sweet soul and loved to cook. She passed away nearly 30-years ago. I think that is where I get my love of cooking from. It was a magical moment going through those recipes seeing her handwriting. It brought back so many good memories.

Anyway, this recipe actually originated from the famous Hidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing Seasoning Mix but my grandmother made a few little tweaks. So, my secret is, I’m going to share my grandmothers version for this dilly ranch flavored oyster cracker recipe.

Dilly Ranch Flavored Oyster Crackers Recipe

TIP: I highly recommend purchasing the Premium Soup & Oyster Crackers. They are bigger in size and pillow-like making them the better choice than other store bought types.

Ingredients:

  • 9 ounce package Premium Oyster Crackers
  • 1 1-ounce package Hidden Valley The Original Ranch Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 Tablespoon dried dill weed
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven 200 degrees Fahrenheit. 
  2. Combine dressing seasoning mix and oil. Add lemon pepper, onion powder, dill weed, garlic powder and stir to mix together. 
  3. Place crackers in a gallon baggie. Pour mixture over crackers. Seal baggie and toss making sure all crackers are coated. Pour crackers from baggie into a cake pan evenly. 
  4. Bake in oven for 30 minutes. Allow to cool prior to eating.
