Quick and Easy Three Bean Salad Recipe

The Easiest Salad To Make

A picnic or family gathering is not the same unless someone brings the three bean salad! Super easy recipe to make in less than 30 minutes.

Three Bean Salad is the most easiest salad to make. It literally takes three cans of beans (I like to use green beans, wax beans and the traditional kidney beans), chopped green pepper, chopped green onions, sugar, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.

For variety of three bean salad I do add one can each of Le Sueur very young small sweet peas and shoepeg corn.

Although the options are endless when making a three bean salad other canned beans that could be used include:

  • Garbanzo Beans or Chickpeas
  • Black Beans
  • Cannellini Beans

Make your own creation if you desire.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can each of cut green beans and cut wax beans drained
  • 1 can of kidney beans drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup chopped green peppers
  • 3 green onions chopped
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon each salt & pepper

Instructions:

Combine all ingredients into a large bowl. Stir making sure all ingredients are coated with the oil mixture. Transfer all ingredients to a container with a lid and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. The longer the vegetables marinade in the liquid the better it tastes.
