So glad you dropped by Jett’s Kitchen.  Hope I can entice you to stay and try some of my home cooked recipes. Would you like a nice cup of coffee?

I could make a cappuccino with some frothy milk topped with a little sprinkle of cocoa.  Or maybe a nice ice cold glass of homemade ginger ale?  I have some kombucha brewing if you’d like to try that. Just name your poison.  

What’s in Store

I like to make a wide variety of dishes in all categories. Recipes include desserts, breakfast, salads, breads, main dishes, beverages, and side dishes just to name a few. I do have a few home remedies, gardening, and personal care recipes.  I have fur babies and chickens so there are some times I will share my love for them.

Everyone thinks I’m crazy when I tell them I made marshmallows. Homemade marshmallows. From scratch. Yes you can too. It’s super easy, good and very impressive. 

I get a lot of, “You made what!”.  Yes, I am daring and want to try new things when it comes to cooking and baking. It’s not unusual to see me whipping up my own butter or culturing my own yogurt.

Laughing as I write this part. Sometimes I wish I had my own cow!  Not really, but I would like to get my hands on some fresh cows milk and experiment with that sometime.

Here is a sample of a few recipes I take pride in. My famous homemade buttery croissants.  You will find detailed instructions from start to finish on how to successfully make these croissants. That’s just how I roll! 🙂  

Tired of all the sugary soda drinks?  Try my ginger ale recipe for a change in pace. It is scrumptious!

Homemade Tastes Better

Yes, you can purchase every single item mentioned above at your local grocer but have you checked out all the ingredients they contain. You may see something like artificial flavor and other ingredient that I can’t even pronounce let alone take the energy to include them here. Anyway, when I make any dish “homemade” it just tastes so much better.

In the past most of the dishes that I made probably were not as healthy as what I focus on today. Check out some of my yummy salad selections. But please keep in mind, we will still eat meals like pizza, it’s just we know what’s going into our crust and choose fresh toppings rather than….well, you get the gist.

With that said, I too will share about special recipes and intriguing ingredients, vegetable gardening, kitchen gadgets and appliances, composting, and home-style recipes you can prepare for your family, dogs and chickens. So, come join me on this journey and check out some great dishes or just live vicariously through me.  Either way, we will have fun!
