With its distinctive flavor, Tandoori Spice Blend will add spicy excitement to chicken, fish, meat, lentils and breads. These spices are exceptional in marinades.

Tantalize your senses with this easy aromatic Tandoori Spice recipe. Season chicken, fish, meat, and breads with this nine spice blend.

It is best to prepare this blend of spices just prior to using or within 24 hours of use to maintain the fresh taste of each spice.

Measure out each ingredient into a small glass prep bowl. If making ahead of time be sure to put in a glass container with a secure lid.

Tandoori Spice Blend Recipe

I use this spice blend to make tandoori chicken but it can also be used to season fish, breads and other meats.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika
  •  5 Whole Cloves (crushed)

Directions:

Measure all spices into a glass bowl. Stir to combine spices and place in a glass container with a secure lid like that of a spice jar.

I use this entire batch in my marinade for my Tandoori Chicken recipe.
