Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup Comfort Food

Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup Soothes Your Soul

Dreaming of a nice fresh piping hot, mouth-watering, bowl of chicken noodle soup? Then you have come to the right place! When I am not feeling so well I usually turn to my favorite recipe; homemade chicken noodle soup. There is just something about it that soothes my soul and actually makes me feel better.

Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Whole chicken
  • 12 cups Water
  • 3 large carrots chopped
  • 3 stalks celery chopped
  • 64 oz chicken broth
  • 12 oz Extra Wide Egg Noodles (or noodles of your choice)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon Chicken Flavored Soup Base

Instructions

  1. Rinse whole chicken under cold water and put into a deep stock pot.
  2. Add 12 cups of water to stock pot and boil for 30 minutes on high and then turn heat down and simmer for additional 60-90 minutes covered.
  3. Chop carrots and celery and set aside.
  4. Carefully remove chicken from pot. Separate meat from bones and skin. Place meat back into stock pot.
  5. Add chicken broth, carrots, celery and Chicken Flavored Soup Base. Simmer for 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

Just look at that savory soup with all that juicy golden flavor. That is what I call a very successful batch of Chicken Noodle Soup!
