Make a batch of these cinnamon flavored toothpicks and experience the good ole days. Easy recipe with only 2 ingredients.
Cinnamon toothpicks are addicting! Plus, they are gluten free and sugar free. They can even be Kosher if using a Kosher ingredient. The ingredients include toothpicks and cinnamon oil. Humm…would you even consider toothpicks an ingredient?
What Are Hot Cinnamon Toothpicks Good For?
Hot cinnamon toothpicks can freshen breath, satisfy oral cravings and can help with quitting smoking.
Where Have All The Cinnamon Toothpicks Gone?
If you have experienced the 70’s or 80’s you may remember popping cinnamon toothpicks in your mouth sucking on one side then flipping it over sucking the other side. One toothpick would last for hours and you would only use one at a time because they were hot!
Something you don’t see much anymore in the stores is flavored toothpicks! Where have all the cinnamon toothpicks gone? I dunno know! That’s why I’m sharing this recipe. For those who remember and for those who want to try something new.
Bring Back The Good Ole Days And Make Some Cinnamon Toothpicks

Ingredients:
- 30 wooden toothpicks (flat are preferred)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon oil

Instructions:
Before getting started with the instructions, please, first read the precautionary measures below. Working with cinnamon oil can be some powerful stuff as it is highly concentrated. This definitely is not a project to do with kids.
PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES: It is highly recommended to wear gloves and eye protection when handling cinnamon oil. Cinnamon oil is extremely potent and intended ONLY for use in food products. Keep away from children and pets. Keep away from direct contact with eyes and skin. According to product labels: In case of contact with eyes or skin: wash affected areas with soap and water repeatedly and flush with large quantities of water. If irritation persists then contact physician immediately.
Prep Toothpicks
Place the flat toothpicks in or on a glass container like a small plate or mason jar.
Add oil
Add 1 teaspoon super strength cinnamon oil (Kosher, Keto, Gluten Free and Made in the USA) for every 30 toothpicks making sure each toothpick is flat and soaking in the oil. I have also tried this pure cinnamon oil.
Soak
Cover the container and allow the toothpicks to soak for up to 8 hours. The longer they soak the hotter the toothpicks may become. So, if you soak for a few hours it may not be as hot.
Final Step
While wearing gloves, carefully remove soaked toothpicks from the oil and place on a folded paper towel. Place another folded paper towel on top of picks and gently pat or roll back and forth to remove excess oil. After the excess oil has been removed then place 10 flavored toothpicks in a mini wax paper bag.
Cinnamon Flavored Toothpicks Make Great Gifts for Adults
Want to give the picks away as a gift or stocking stuffer? Simply fold the top of the wax bag over and apply a label (free template labels below).

Toothpicks are not made to be chewed on. By chewing on toothpicks there is a chance of damaging your teeth and or getting splinters in your mouth or even worse. So, please be careful when using toothpicks.

Wow! I loved these when I was a kid (60’s). They sold them at the corner store. They bring up so many nice childhood memories. I haven’t had them since then, but I sure am going to make batch soon. Thanks!
